The aim is to create sustainable tourism to provide work opportunities for the local people to avoid continual emigration in search for work. Only 30 years ago 1,000 people lived in the village of Sant’Ambrogio now there are 250 people.
The tours are aimed to provide the visitor with an experience of authentic Sicilian life amongst its warm and friendly people.
An opportunity to immerse in the local traditions by:
- Visit to the shepherd to see how cheese is made still in the traditional method.
- Visit Mimmo’s cellar where he will explain how he makes his superb wine.
- Cooking course in the village, an opportunity to learn how to cook typical Sicilian dishes.
It is through its people that one understands a place.
