Guided excursion to the Aeolian islands
The Aeolian islands are a group of seven small volcanic islands: Lipari, Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Alicudi and Filicudi. There are still two active volcanoes, on Stromboli and Vulcano. The Stromboli usually has eruptions every 30 minutes, with lava, stones and ash ejections that are very spectacular. On Vulcano there are only sulphur emissions that gives the island its particular “smell” and allow you to take sulphur mud baths. Each island is different, but all of them offer beautiful and special landscapes as well as picturesque villages with small white houses and tiny streets.
The Aeolian islands are the most interesting islands in the Mediterranean Sea because of the enchanting views of extraordinary scenes of nature with incredible rock formations, natural grottoes and beautiful beaches and bays, the richness of historical and archeological sites and furthermore of the big variety of animals and plants.
During our tours you also stop with the boat near natural grottoes and sea monoliths which were created and shaped by the forces of nature into stunning sculptures. .
