Welcome to all of you who are maybe taking a glance at this page, perhaps wanting to find out a bit more about Sicily and its traditions.
The main intent and purpose of this blog is to promote both Sicilian Experience, which is Carmelina Ricciardello’s eco-sustainable tourism business in the village of Sant’ Ambrogio, and, of course, tourism to Sicily. Carmelina’s business is definitely a One Woman Show and is run with her Sicilian flair, inventiveness and Passion – with a capital P! But also with her Australian determinedness and down-to-earthiness, which are the complementary mix of her two background cultures.
Over these pages, Carmelina and her Shadow (the person writing this!) will endeavour to entertain, enlighten and hopefully make you interested enough to want to come and find out for yourself what life is really like in this part of the world. Sicilians are very proud of their land, food and hospitality and want to share all of it with you so that you can go back home and tell people that the Godfather stereotype really DOESN’T exist at all here and Corleone is probably one of the most boring towns on earth!
So………….read on and enjoy!
