Cefalù:
Throughout the summer a number of institutional events attract both the general public and visitors. Alongwith the city council’s initiatives are those of the businesses of some of the historic centre’s most important streets, who organise mostly gastronomic and musical events (there is no shortage of feasts, such as that dedicated to pesce azzurro (“blue-fish”: mackerel, sardines, anchovies and their ilk) in September, and the Beer Festival in the same month, or the new Festival of Ice-Cream in October, attended by both Italians and foreigners).

Gratteri:
8th of September, and on the 9th the beautiful procession made in honour of St John the Apostle (San Giacomo Apostolo).

Palermo:
Santa Rosalia Pilgrimage – 4 September
The statue is kept in the Sanctuary of Monte Pellegrino.   On the 4th September, the saint’s birthday, the people, for thanks received or for devotion, go on foot from Palermo up to the Sanctuary on the mountain.

Polizzi Generosa:
On the first Sunday of September the Sagra dello Sfoglio (“Feast of Pastry”) is held, a recently created folkloristic institution which aims to introduce numerous tourists to the "u' sfùagghiu" (delicious cakes filled with fresh cheese, chocolate, cinnamon, sugar) and other local specialities (pastries and biscuits).

Sant'Ambrogio:
Madonna di Guarneri - Celebrated on the first weekend in September.  The festivities are for 2 days, which include games, dancing, progression with the Madonna, music and serving of sweet biscuits with sweet wine.
