The small rural village of Cacchiamo lies due north of Enna in the eastern hills of the Madonie. The impressive house, Masseria Cacchiamo, is half aristocratic palace and half converted wine press and is the result of the owner’s unique and considerable imagination. Once you arrive you will be struck by the pastoral feel of the place and the sounds you'll hear are sheep, goat bells, birds singing, the occasional tractor chugging past and the odd cockerel.
The 6 different levels that make up the airy, open-plan ex-wine press are connected by steps, spiral staircases, gangplanks and suspended walkways. A final set of wooden steps leads through a wooden door into the aristocratic part of the building with its frescoed ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors.

Interior:
Il Palmento - The Palmento is home to a large open-plan area that includes the living, kitchen and dining zones. Columns and arches partially separate the different spaces, as does the central fireplace. Suspended above the entrance is a small double bedroom that is closed off by thick hanging curtains. On the same level, but towards the rear, there is a TV area, a bathroom with bath and stairs that take you to a bizarre cubby hole room that will certainly become the "den" for any children in your party. Yet another spiral staircase takes you, rather unexpectedly, through a 'wardrobe' into the villa.

Villa - from the "wardrobe" entrance you access a double room, which, alongside the bedroom in the Palmento, will complete the accommodation for groups of 4. For groups of 6, the bedroom accesses a living area with views over the main courtyard, a dining room and another double bedroom with bathroom.
